Help Me!

I'm going to get a new Palm OS device. But I'm having trouble deciding. I am leaning towards the Tapwave Zodiac 2. But this device is a year old, and it might be discontinued. Also I don't know if 200mhz is fast enough for the multimedia tasks I do. I'm looking for a device under $350. Anybody have any recommendations?

Have you looked into a Zire 72 with a 1 or 2 gig SD card?

I don't know. I think I'm going to just get the zodiac. I've never had a metel device and I like the 320x480. seeing as how I have a 640x480 x50v I don't know if I could go back to 320x320.

this is a wise choice!
You can then comment on my article about the notifications;-P. I was always interested in zodiac data!

I'm biased towards the Zodiac. I have a Z1 with a SD card. It's plenty for me. The game controls are awesome, and for my needs it does everything I want (except WiFi natively).

The Zodiac is a lot peppier than its CPU. It has an on-board ATI graphics chipset that really accelerates drawing on the screen, plus 2 SD slots. If you know someone with a Zodiac try running AcidSolitare on the Zodiac versus on another handheld (it's faster at drawing on the Zodiac than on my old Tungsten C).

On the minus side, if you are a developer, the market is pretty small, and you'd have to support palmOne's navigation as well as the Zodiac's. Also no USB debugging support for the device (although you can use a serial cable with it - I have one and can debug okay on the device).

I have a Zod2 and a T5. If I had to keep only one, it would be the T5. Reasons :
- Zod really really wants to be landscape. T5 is happy either way.
- Speed. T5 will run TCPMP fullframe at 25fps. Zod won't. Fancy ATI chip no use unless developers support it, which most won't or can't.
- 3rd party support.
- NVFS, now P1 have fixed it.
- Battery life.
- Style for business use.

but then there is PalmOne's product quality!
The T3 I am using was repaired multiple times. Like my T1, 505, IIIc,...
